Music has always been an important part of my life, as you might expect. One cannot live with Celia Murphy and ignore music. One might wish to ignore Celia, however, though that’s almost as impossible. Because of the exposure I’ve had since the moment I realized what music actually is, I have a pretty varied range of tastes.
I started this little song list when Mother forced me to accompany her to Ireland. Often, my playlist tends to reflect what I’m going through in my daily life. I like a lot of new stuff, but usually I listen to music from before I was born. Since I’m pretty sure what the future holds, the past is so much more intriguing. Learning where music once was has really helped me to understand where music is now.
Maybe you’ll get a bit of insight about my visit to the Emerald Isle when you listen, but I don’t think it gives away too much. If you have any questions, you’ll just have to read the book!
